Prince Tsegah, also known as Da Don, has advised Ghanaian rapper, Obibini to learn a ‘thing or two’ from two-time BET award winner Sarkodie if he wants to break through the mainstream market and cross over.
Obibini has been trending for the past few days after he squared off with Amerado in a lyrical beef that garnered massive reaction on social media.
After his beef with Amerado ended, he appeared in a radio interview where he listed his top five Ghanaian rappers excluding Sarkodie.
His list excluding was taken lightly by SarkNation as they branded him as a hater for excluding the two-time BET Award-winner from his list.
Prince Tsegah, who is a regular pundit on Hitz FM, also criticised Obibini’s list but was slammed by the Zylofon Music label signee.
The two finally came face-to-face today on Hitz FM where they cleared their issues.
“It looks like people took my take on your top five rapper list out of context,” Prince Tsegah said. “I was trying to put meaning to you having that top five list.”
“If you are not listening to Sarkodie – who is one of the commercially viable rappers in Ghana today, making waves, money and commanding the market – you will fall short of these antics to get to where he has gotten to,” he said.
Obibini immediately rebutted, saying a lot of people won’t list Drake in their top rappers list because he can’t stand some rappers in a lyrical battle.
